I got a set of these in medium for my pregnancy. They were a great help while I was trying to continue wearing my regular clothes, when they were getting small, but maternity clothes were still too big. And then later, they were helpful toward the end of the pregnancy, when a lot of maternity tops were too short and maternity pants were riding down. They helped cover the gap between my pants/skirts and my tops.
But past that, I decided to get another set in small after my baby was born. Once it started getting chilly, I wasn't loving having to lift my shirt to nurse him. Even with my wonderful (Bebe Au Lait) nursing cover, my back and side was getting partially exposed, which was drafty. So, I use the smaller set of bands to cover up my midsection, making it easier to nurse in public without getting chilly or exposing too much.
The bands are a great help if you know you'll be nursing in public (as pretty much every breastfeeding mother does from time to time!), need it to be easy (as we all do!), but would rather use your old tops (and don't want to buy a ton of nursing tops). It's more economical to use your old tops, and get a few belly bands in basic colors, rather than buy a bunch of expensive nursing tops.
If you use your bands during the pregnancy, you'll almost certainly need a smaller size to use them for nursing, since with use they do conform to your (big-belly!) shape during the pregnancy. I tried using my old ones at first, but after I'd worn them for about an hour, they started falling down (which is annoying, and defeats the purpose). Hence I ordered the smaller size set. I will definitely plan on using both sets of bands for my next baby (whenever that happens), as well. I just wish Bebe Au Lait made an extra small size, which would be helpful for more petite women looking to use the bands for nursing purposes.Get more detail about Baby Be Mine Maternity Belly Band in 4 Sizes.
